03 / How the Job Works

From the first conversation to certification.

A downlight installation follows four steps.

Enquiry and site assessment

You tell us what is happening or what you want added. We look at the switchboard, the circuits involved and the property before recommending anything.

Written quote

You receive a quote covering the layout, fittings and any wiring changes.

Installation or repair

Old fittings are removed and new LED downlights installed and connected.

Testing and certification

The work is tested before we leave, and a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW) is issued where the work requires one.

04 / Safety & Compliance

Electrical work completed properly in NSW.

In NSW, lighting installation must be carried out by a licensed electrician and tested to the Australian wiring rules (AS/NZS 3000).

Where the work requires it, we lodge a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW), which records what was done and confirms it has been tested.

Ceiling repairs

Patching where old fittings leave larger holes may need another trade.

Faulty lighting circuits

Circuit faults found during the job are explained and quoted separately.

06 / Local Knowledge
